Hi there, early bird! If you got this result, that means you’re currently in the high school graduating class of 2026…or you’re even younger than that!

And I’m so pleased you’re here, because that means you’re the type of student who really cares about your future and wants to be prepared—otherwise, you wouldn’t be asking the good ole’ Internet about which standardized test you should take for your college applications!

But here’s the deal: even if you’re lightyears ahead of your classmates academically, it’s still a little too early for you to start prepping for the ACT or the Digital SAT (<—those are the two tests YOU’LL be choosing between when the times comes!).

Here’s why, in a nutshell: however amazing you already may be at math, grammar and reading comprehension—you know, the things the ACT and the dSAT will test you on—you’ll only get better at them over the next year or two as you take more and more challenging classes in school! And that’s if you’re way ahead of the curve. If you’re like 99.999% of students your year or younger, you’ll actually NEED to pay close attention in your English and Math classes during Freshman and Sophomore years to learn the basics you’d need to ace your test of choice.

That said, based on your answers to this quiz, the ACT *might* end up being the better test for you to show off your strengths! 

It’s a very good guess based on a few facts and generalities about you that you self-reported. But if you REALLY want to be certain you’re picking the right test, we need to do a fair comparison between them…as well as consider a few other factors! But you’d need to wait til Sophomore year Spring (if not Summer or Junior-year Fall!) to truly decide!
